Macrokiosk Berhad, Kuala Lumpur

MACROKIOSK’s new corporate office extension at The Troika allowed us to boldly depict the digital technology company’s knack for the unconventional. We transformed the existing asymmetrical space into meeting rooms, recreation area, IT hub, workspaces, theatre and a bar for the digital age, aptly called the “Space Bar”, with timeless, industrial-chic minimalism as the overall design intent, dovetailing into MACROKIOSK’s renown in digital innovation, scalability and security.

Our designers controlled the 3D dynamics not only with fluid and efficient asymmetrical space-planning effects but also reused existing elements like art, artefacts, fittings, furniture and an old-school yellow garage door (which slides to partition off part of the Space Bar for meetings) – all infused with MACROKIOSK’s corporate colours of grey, black and white.

The TEDx-styled theatre with seating for 180 pax easily converts into a yoga gym or staff training room. The vinyl floor pattern was also artistically designed as a subtle guide for chair arrangement in the irregularly shaped space. Equipped with the latest audio-visual technology, all surfaces were sound insulated and the ceiling fitted with Ekous acoustic panels.

A delight for the senses and yet highly functional and buzzing with engaging, collaborative, creative and innovative elements.
